When Pilar Valdes migrated to New York City, she met Binh Ly who was orignally from Vietnam. They bonded not only because of their shared Southeast Asian roots but also over a “love of food and feeding others.” Pilar nad Binh created Kickshaw Cookery, which offers catering services as well as a specialty lunch delivery program in the New York City area.
